Subletting

Would you like to sublet your room while you’re away? Here’s everything you need to know.

How Subletting Works

As a Pfaffenhof resident, you may sublet your room during extended absences, such as a semester abroad, an internship, or other breaks. Subletting is permitted only to enrolled students.

The entire process is handled by the VSSW.

Important Requirements

  • The sublessee must be a registered student (valid student ID required)
  • Documents must be submitted at least 14 days in advance
  • As the primary tenant, you remain fully responsible for the apartment
  • You will continue to pay rent to VSSW. You and the subtenant will work out the payment arrangements directly between yourselves.
